How to Die in Oregon: Film and Discussion by VT Compassion and Choices

April 16, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

You are warmly invited to a film screening of How to Die in Oregon on Saturday, April 16th at 1pm at Putney Public Library. How to Die in Oregon is an award-winning documentary that offers a moving portrait of what it means to use medical aid in dying and won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011 and depicts the process of using medical aid in dying, which has been authorized in Oregon for 18 years and in Vermont for nearly 3 years.
This screening is an opportunity to meet your fellow community members to discuss access to the full range of end-of-life options. Light refreshments will be provided. After the film, Compassion & Choices State Director Linda Waite-Simpson will host a discussion and Q&A on how Vermont’s medical aid-in-dying law is working for people across the state.
