Putney Library Announces Cake Contest!
As part of the Putney Library’s 20th birthday party on Sunday, Feb. 2nd from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm, the library invites all enthusiastic bakers to dust off their cookbooks and create a prize-winning entry for our first ever cake contest. Bakers are tasked with creating a cake, which shows what you love about the library. It can be book-themed, inspired by our beautiful building, or reflect something important to you about our library. Your creation can resemble the pages of a book, depict a scene or character from your favorite read, or wherever your creativity leads you.
The contest is open to everyone and there are two categories – adults and children under 12- with one best in show prize awarded to adults and one awarded to children. Winners get bragging rights and a Putney Library tote bag!
Each party attendee will receive two tickets and may vote for only one entry in each category. Votes will be tallied and announced at 3:00 pm. and bakers must pick up their cakes by 4:00 pm.
Cakes should be edible, not require refrigeration, or exceed 16”x16.” Entries can only be dropped off at the library on Sunday, February 2nd between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Registration forms are available at the library during cake drop off or below and should be included with your entry. Every cake should have a title.
