Through this conversation\, the organizers invite the public to contribute to a discussion that will touch on numerous aspects of omnivorous life in the anthropocene\, including; understanding pre-modern human diets\, ethics of foraging & hunting (why kill an animal?)\, effects of industrial agriculture & meat consumption globally\, importance of local foodsheds\, concerns of animal welfare\, environmental effects of deer overpopulation\, and (perhaps) even more! \nBring your passion\, bring your questions\, and bring your curiosity as we all seek to gain depth and knowledge about the many considerations one takes\, knowingly or not\, as an omnivore. \nFeaturing contributions and moderation by: \nDr. Theresa Emmerich Kamper\, visiting educator & ancestral skills expert \nBob Etzweiler\, Hunter Education Instructor for Vermont and Director of the Hunter’s \nHeart Hunting Apprenticeship\, the Vermont Wilderness School Wildlife Tracking Apprenticeship \nEd Morris\, environmental artist\, Co-founder of Tool Shed & Interim Executive Director of Marble House Project (Dorset\, VT) \nBrian Cheverie\, Putney-area resident\, community-member and hunter \nCandace Jensen\, Creative Director and Co-founder of In Situ Polyculture Commons\, frequent forager & locavore in SE Vermont
