SUMMARY:Toni Ortner and Carolyn North to Read at Putney Library
DESCRIPTION:Toni Ortner and Carolyn North to Read at Putney Library \nJoin us at the Putney Public Library on Thursday\, January 11th at 6:30pm to hear the voices of two Putney writers. \nCarolyn North had been living in Berkeley\, California until a year and a half ago when she returned to Putney\, the place she loves the best in the world. She is the author of 18 published books\, and has taught improvisational dance as a healing modality in Berkeley for 4 decades. Her focus now is preparing and reassuring people\, through her writing\, to manage big societal shifts by working together.\n She has 3 grown children and 4 grown grandchildren and lives on Old Depot Road in the old Priory. \nCarolyn will read from her book titled Freeflow Stories. \nToni Ortner who lives in Putney has had 31 books published by small presses. The most recent is Focused Light from a Distant Star by Kelsay Books. The book honors women’s art of the last few centuries. Her website\, toniortner.com\, shows a full bibliography of her published books with reviews and directions on where to purchase them. Toni was Vice President of Write Action for 14 years and hosted the Write Action Radio Show where she interviewed writers and they read their work. She hosted the Putney Writers Salon through the Putney Library on Zoom during Covid. \nToni will read from Focused Light from a Distant Star accompanied by a slideshow of art by the women artists who inspired this writing. \nPutney Public Library is located at 55 Main St in Putney\, VT. This event is free and open to the public.
