6:30pm–HOW A POEM WORKS: A Writer in Residence Event

April 10 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

April is Poetry Month and we invite you to come celebrate with us on Tuesday, April 10th, at 6:30 p.m.

We will gather with poet and Writer in Residence Michelle Blake to read and talk about how poems get made and how they make themselves known to us.

In preparation, you might want to stop by the library now and pick up the list of poetry books on nonfiction section shelves 808-821, on the far back wall. Find a book that you know you love, or that looks good, or looks weird, or looks too hard to read, take it home and read it.

Then bring it with you on April 10th, and we will read out loud and recite and talk as a group about HOW A POEM WORKS.

Or come empty handed and open minded. Cake, poetry, good company and a spring evening provided.

The Writer In Residence Events are made possible through generous donations by Dorothy Morris Mudd and friends of Margot Torrey.

Putney Public Library is located at 55 Main St in Putney, VT. This event is free and open to the public.
