NEW MOON CIRCLE with Pam Ciampi at Putney Public Library
Each New Moon signifies the beginning of a new monthly cycle. It’s a time to start fresh and be positive by creating new visions and setting new intentions. Join Pam Ciampi, certified professional astrologer for the first meeting of an ongoing series of New Moon Circles at the Putney Public Library.
A New Moon Circle is a monthly gathering of like-minded people interested in harmonizing their energies with the phases of the moon and the zodiac signs.
The first New Moon Circle on Monday, August 21st at 7pm, will celebrate the most amazing astronomical event of 2017 – a total solar eclipse. Because the shadow of this solar eclipse will spread across the entire US, it’s been named ‘the great American Eclipse’. The shadow starts in Oregon, passes through middle of the US and exits in South Carolina.
During this solar eclipse the sun, moon and earth are in a perfect alignment. The moon will block out the light of the sun and cast a 70-mile wide shadow on earth that will plunge14 states into 2 minutes of darkness. Even though Vermont is not directly in the path of the moon shadow this total eclipse could still be a watermark in your life. It all depends on when you were born.
Besides a conversation about the eclipse there will also be an explanation of the eight phases of the Moon and what they mean. Because the energies of this month’s New Moon are in Leo there will also be some tips about how to best use this fiery energy.
To find out what moon phase you were born under please bring your birth date, birth time and birthplace with you to the New Moon Circle.
